All center team members go through extensive training to make sure your plasma donation is a comfortable and meaningful experience. Did you know that Grifols has the only accredited Academy for Plasmapheresis in the industry? This ensures team members at all Grifols plasma centers are trained in up-to-date plasma safety and medical technology.
Along with the required health screenings and annual physicals we provide for each of our donors, Grifols also tests every donation before using it in medicines. Each bottle of plasma is quality tested and carefully tracked in our state-of-the-art laboratories and manufacturing plants. If a bottle doesn’t pass these safety protocols, it gets discarded.
All Grifols plasma centers are licensed and regulated by the FDA and other international agencies. Each plasma donation center is routinely inspected and certified by these agencies. In addition, all Grifols plasma centers are monitored by the International Quality Plasma Program (IQPP), as well as local state health agencies, to ensure compliance with required testing procedures. We also have a robust internal regulatory program that routinely inspects and verifies our quality assurance requirements throughout the year.
The health and safety of all our employees and donors is Grifols' top priority. We have implemented protocols as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We’re committed to helping our donors and patients feel safe and confident in the quality of every donation experience and every medicine that
